It was a memorable visit of Mr. Sunder Belani, who specially came from Bangalore to New Delhi, as he met CISMI, INDIA's Founder-Chairman Mr.H.S.Passricha and held discussion across the table. During the occasion, several important issues of the agenda pertaining to the future strategies of CISMI's activities were discussed. One of these issues was commencement of forthcoming industry Award Night in Mumbai on 11th October, 2010, Monday. The extravagant evening that will be held at Mumbai'stopline hotel, The Leela in association with GARTEXMA, AEPC, CMAI, CSMA and TEXPROCIL, is expected to witness visitation from the who's who of the industryA panel discussion will precede the CISMI Award Night. The panel discussion on "Challenges facing the Indian Sewing and Apparel Industry and how to overcome them" will be chaired by Mr.V.Srinivas, Joint Secretary in the Union ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
In fact, the night will see the community of sewing and apparel machinery suppliers and manufactures form India and abroad together with veterans from the garment and home textile trade. The motto of this night will be to honor stalwarts of the industry with the CISMI Appreciation Award.The Award will be given away by Ms. Rita Menon, Secretary to the Union ministry of Textiles, Government of India, in recognition of one's meritorious service, loyalty and devotion shown towards the Apparel and Textile Industry of India.
The preparations for the Industry Award Night have started long ago and the CISMI fraternity is looking forward to the Night with great enthusiasm and fervour. As the date is approaching, CISMI office-bearers are pulling up their socks and from now onwards, the planning part and the execution part will move hand in hand. In this connection, CISMI, INDIA Vice-Chairman Sunder Belani has visited the CISMI's Administrative office at New Delhi. This was but part of these preparations. During the meeting, it was decided that the entry to the industry Award Night will be selective and by invitation.
Further, during this eventful meeting, Mr. Sunder Belani launched CISMI's table flag together with Mr.H.S.Passricha and Mr.manjeet Sing Bakshi, Spokesperson of CISMI, INDIA. The table flag has already come to signify the combined and collective vision of the sewing and apparel machine industry and CISMI is proud to launch the flag. Because, CISMI is one of the first associations of the sewing and apparel industry to have its own flag that signifies unity, trust and willingness to show distinction in service to the industry. The flag is our identity and will motive all of us to strive for the development of CISMI because UNITED WAY IS OUR WAY.

| IPSO builds and markets rugged commercial washer-extractors, drying tumblers, barrier washers for medical applications, flatwork ironers and small capacity units. The brand’s products are in operation around the world in coin laundries as well as on-premises laundries in hotels, long-termcare facilities, hospitals, fire departments, athletic facilities and many other businesses. Likewise, D’Hooge is well recognized for its large-capacity washer-extractors and hygienic washers, as well as large, single- and multi-roll ironers.
